MSA fire safety specialists have been central to the re-development and refurbishment of the historic Heuston Rail Station. The building was commissioned in 1846 and the challenge was develop a fire safety design that would not affect the existing structure and provide safe circulation and evacuation from fire.
MSA used detailed pedestrian movement analysis to determine the most appropriate and economical design to optimise the maximum permitted occupancy levels.

MSA provided fire and evacuation training for staff to enable these strategies be implemented correctly.
These Emergency management plans and the development of fire engineering egress for the different events increased the stadium’s occupant levels compared to a code compliant design.
